Capering Shadows
“Shadows”
(10/29/05)
There’s conversation going on
But I’m to absorbed in the taste
To hear what’s being said
Bittersweet melting
Gazing past
The background comes to view
Encased in a clear display
A glass platter with lavender pickings
And through the reflection
Shadows
“Capering Shadows”
(10/29/05)
Comfort and misery,
Capering shadows,
Dim my view.
Am I lost in the past
Or growing from it?
The flame of the night,
Vanished.
The only remains,
My melted wax
Clinging to the burnt wick,
Of my stolen ashes.
The wind and the rain
Spark my soul,
Glowing to the night’s
Vanished flame.
Found
Hiding in the
Capering shadows.
