Keeping The Fade Vibrante

Keeping the fade vibrante,
You pop in for a short visit.
Be it two minutes or a few days,
I smile and the tears grow stonger.
Putting the first moment aside,
I couldn't be happier.
The longging's still there,
The emotion's still flooding.
Different, yes,
But the fade's kept alive,
Even as you leave,
And I'm left to holding on
To the fading memories,
Until life decideds on
Keeping the fade, vibrante again.
